FPTS Meets Principal Secretary Mr. Mohamed Daghar to Address Public Transport Challenges
FPTS met with the Principal Secretary for Transport to discuss key issues affecting Nairobi’s public transport — including the insurance crisis, congestion, BRT inclusion, unregulated boda boda operations, and the need for proper PT infrastructure and digitisation. The Federation remains committed to advocating for a safe, organized, modern, and people-centered transport system in Kenya.
FPTS Participates in the Kenya Public Transport Summit 2025
FPTS took part in the Kenya Public Transport Summit 2025 where policymakers, operators and mobility experts explored reforms, safety enhancement and digitisation of the sector. Key discussions focused on sustainable urban mobility, fleet modernization, and improving passenger experience across Kenya.

NaMATA Hosts Stakeholder Workshop for BRT Line 4 East
NaMATA conducted a workshop on the conceptual design for BRT Line 4 East as part of Nairobi Urban Mobility Improvement Project. FPTS representatives contributed insights on integration with existing matatu routes and operator involvement in the new system.

The Office of the Inspector General, led by Douglas Kanja, met with FPTS to discuss key issues affecting road safety and police conduct in the PSV sector. The meeting addressed concerns over harassment, enforcement consistency, and collaborative solutions for safer roads.

Transport Committee Engages FPTS to Chart New Path for Kenya's PSV Industry
The Departmental Committee on Transport held a consultative engagement with FPTS to deliberate on challenges facing public service vehicle operators, including regulatory burdens, financing, and modernization needs. Outcomes will inform upcoming legislative reforms.
