Membership in the Federation of Public Transport Sector (FPTS) positions organisations at the centre of national dialogue, coordinated policy influence, and sector-wide reform — providing structure, credibility, and collective leadership.
FPTS is Kenya’s nationally recognised umbrella federation for the public transport sector. It is a non-political, non-profit platform bringing together public transport associations, investors, and approved partners across road and rail passenger transport.
Membership creates a structured forum for collective engagement — enabling stakeholders to harmonise priorities, exchange expertise, and advance reforms that strengthen regulation, operations, and long-term investment.
Public transport operates within complex regulatory and policy environments. FPTS Membership ensures operators and investors engage government not as fragmented entities, but through a unified, credible, and professional national platform.
By aligning the sector with international best practice, FPTS supports Kenya’s transition towards modern, people-centred public transport systems while coordinating all transport modes under a single strategic framework.
